5052 Characteristic
Type 5052 aluminum contains magnesium and chromium and is considered the strongest of the non-heat treatable alloys. 5052 is also known as Marine alloy aluminum. It is an alloy best suited for forming fabrications and welding but not for heavy machining. The most common application for 5052 aluminum is used in marine applications.
