One of the most common uses for Spun Applications in the Marine Industry is for Pontoon Boats. Stainless steel is an important material in marine applications, so is marine grade aluminum.
5000 Series Marine Aluminum
Advancements in aluminum technology have made it increasingly durable and lightweight (1/3 the density of steel) plus it’s resistance to corrosion has made it a perfect material for the marine industry. The 5XXX series are particularly favored for excellent corrosion resistance and great weldability.
Wenzel primarily uses 5052-H32. A stain hardening alloy with about 2.5% magnesium content. Our 5052-H32 metal spinning is great for marine industry applications.
Wenzel provides our marine customers with the best in 5000 series marine aluminum spinnings in both the commercial and recreational market.
